Cosmetic dentistry

Dental work that improves the appearance of teeth – veneers, crowns and bridges; whitening and alignment. Focuses on improving dental aesthetics – color, shape, position, alignment and overall appearance of the smile.

Dental implants

Tooth replacement for missing or damaged teeth. Dental implants are secured to the jaw with a titanium screw. This stimulates the jawbone, helping to prevent loss of bone mass in your jaw. They are made to match the colour, size and shape of your existing natural teeth. Feel and function like natural teeth.

Root canal treatment

Painful toothaches can often occur due to inflammation and infection within the nerve space of the tooth. This treatment involves the removal of inflamed or infected area within the root cavity. The inside of the root canal is carefully cleaned, shaped, and the space is then filled and sealed.

After the root filling is completed you will require a return visit to have a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function.

Tooth extractions

Tooth extractions and professional advice for aftercare and options for tooth replacement if required.

Free adolescent care

We have a contract with the local district health board to provide free publicly funded dental care for adolescents who are at their first year of college through to age 18.

If you are at high school, attending a training course, working or unemployed you are entitled to receive free dental care every year, up until your 18th birthday.

This includes:

  • An annual check up
  • X-rays where necessary
  • Hygiene care to remove plaque, staining and tartar
  • Treatment of tooth decay (holes/cavities) with fillings
  • Removal (extraction) of any teeth that have been badly affected by tooth decay or damaged

Although dental care is free for all children, our practice caters only for adolescents. This includes children attending their first year of college (Yr 9) through to their 18th birthday.

If you have a child younger than this, and they need dental care please phone 0800 TALK TEETH (0800 825 583).
